Summer time is here, which means sunshine, cookouts, sunscreen, and.... drought. Did you know that there are lots of resouces online to learn about drought coverage in Texas, water conservation efforts, and methods you can use right in your own home to help reduce water waste and decrease water use!
Check out Drought.Gov/states/texas to learn more about drought conditions across the state and in your city as well as different kinds of drought, short-term versus long-term drought, and more.
At this time Jonah Water SUD is under voluntary Stage 1 water restrictions. We ask that all customers make necessary adjustments to reduce ongoing water usage at this time to avoid any further drought contingency actions or interruptions in service.
These voluntary adjustments include watering lawns less frequently, washing cars less frequently, and reducing recreational water use (yard toys, filling pools, etc.).
